The OUTTS committee offices are: President; Treasurer; Secretary; Freshers & Training Rep; Hires & Venue Rep; Welfare Rep; Social Secretary; Senior Member. The committee is assisted by the Liaisons Officer, IT rep, and Hires Manager.

The committee are here to assist any member of the society with any shows or problems they are working on; please do email them if you would like any advice or assistance. If you are looking for guidance on a particular role please look at our role guides, or contact one of our role advisors.

We are also always grateful for suggestions of socials or workshops that you would like to be run - please contact the appropriate committee members if you have any ideas.

I'm in my second year studying for a DPhil in Mathematics at St Hugh's. I've been involved in technical theatre since I was in school, and I've worked on productions in both technical and design roles ever since, both in Oxford and as a member of DU Players as an undergraduate. A formative memory as a lighting technician was of trying to figure out how to operate a Mac 2k profile that had been hired for a school production — I caught the bug, and I've been reading manuals and making lights turn on ever since. It’s a privilege to lead a committee of such enthusiastic and talented people. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions, comments, or suggestions, or just to say hi!

Heya! Cayden here, a second year English student at St Hugh's. I must confess to spending more time in theatres than lecture theatres, learning from all the brilliant and lovely techies in this community. This is my second year on committee, and I want to keep going on a lot of the good work we've started while involving new techies and voices so we can keep the scene going and growing. Hello! I'm Hannah, a second year English student at Hertford. I dabbled in tech at school (read: put mics on people and moved set pieces around) but it was only here at Oxford that I absolutely fell down the rabbit hole. Since then I've taken part in almost every department, learning (and failing at) a LOT along the way. A good bit of that was through OUTTS's excellent programme of workshops and training, which I hope to be continuing as the new Freshers and Training Rep.

Hi! I’m Caitlin, a second year History and Politics student at Keble. While I’ve dabbled in everything tech and producing, sound is certainly what’s kept me hooked to technical theatre. Having spent a lot of time visiting the hires store (after doing 11 shows, I don’t think I can escape it), I’m looking forward to working with the hires managers and the rest of the committee to improve it and what we can offer student productions.

Hi, I’m Alexandra, a first year Materials Science student at Mansfield! I’m quite new to the tech community but I’m excited to get involved with this committee to help all techies make the most of our time working on shows here. Over the course of my degree I’m looking forward to learning more about all things tech, working on a variety of shows and helping plan some fun social activities for OUTTS!

Hello!! My name's Ted, and I'm this year's OUTTS Liaisons Officer. I'm coming to the end of my third year doing technical theatre here at Oxford, having worked all over the city in a wide variety of roles, from set to lighting to stage management. As the Liaisons Officer, I'm here to help anyone outside the world of OUTTS and OUDS who wants some technical knowhow to support their production. From dance to opera to lectures, I'm always happy for people to reach out, and to put them in touch with the technicians they might need!

Hi folks, I am Kayla and I am currently a first year Materials Science and Engineering student at Teddy Hall🎉!

I've dabbled in tech in various forms throughout my educational timeline, tending to focus more on sound mixing and music however since coming to Oxford I am learning lots about all areas of tech and thoroughly enjoying doing so. It's rare that so many spreadsheet lovers are found in one spot and I'm very grateful for the fantastic team at outts who have welcomed us Freshers so warmly, sharing knowledge and teaching us with great enthusiasm and patience ! I look forward to contributing in whatever way I can to this lovely group of wildly talented people!

Hi, I'm Jonathan, but most people call be JT, working on a DPhil in CS at Keble, and this is now my 8th year in Oxford. I've been doing tech in various forms for about 15 years including lights, sound, projection, and live broadcast. I'm always happy to advise and to help, teaching is my favourite bit of the job and I'm just as happy showing someone new the ropes as helping realise a crazy ambitious plan.
